Glaucoma and its basic types


Glaucoma is eye disease in which optic nerve get damage and person loss their vision. There are basically two types of Glaucoma exist   acute closed-angle glaucoma and open-angle glaucoma. Open-angle glaucoma is most common types of   glaucoma normally appear in the person. This diseases sometimes referred to as   "sneak thief of sight" because its first sigh is loss of vision. The vision loss in this problem could not be restored.



Open-angle glaucoma shows symptoms gradually up to the advanced stage opposite to  this closed angled symptom occurs suddenly. In open angle glaucoma eye pressure is continuously increases and damages the optic nerve gradually where in closed –eye glaucoma  includes following problem suddenly like blurred vision then formation of halos around lights at night sometimes  there is pain in the eye, redness is appear in the eye.

Open-eye glaucoma causes slowly loss of peripheral vision where as Closed angle glaucoma produce headache and pain in the eye. Sometimes there is also occur omitting and nausea also.
